Fights for Power
Gaudregault was a powerful warrior from the realm of Neptius; Gaudregault's city was burned to the ground as a child, and he was raised by abusive foster parents. When he got older he began to practice the sword so he could be like his deceased father who had served in the army, but one day his foster parents pushed him too far and he killed them both and then burned the house down. Now with nothing but his sword, he left to seek a way to increase his skill.
His search led him to a sword academy where he trained under the tutelage of an inexperienced but widely successful swordsman who emphasized power over accuracy. Gaudregault learned to focus more on power than skill, and his swing became harder but shakier. After much time, his mentor vanished one night; Gaudregault, feeling abandoned, left to find the next component of his sword mastery; a weapon worthy of his mighty fighting style. After a long search he found the Blade of Neptius, the former weapon of a warrior so great that the realm was named for him.
Gaudregault conquered wherever he went with his powerful weapon in hand, but still felt as though something were missing. It was then that he heard of a map leading to a pillar that could grant wishes. He went to find the map so that he could then find the pillar and wish for more power.
